Hackulo.us – share and copy iPhone apps

0. Download any free app from App store

1. Open Cydia
2. Complete Upgrade
3. Manage(fourth tab)
4. Sources
5. Edit (top right)
6. Add(top left)
7. Enter … http://cydia.hackulo.us

Then go to Manage – Sources – Hackulo.us and install Installous and AppSync for OS 3.0 - REBOOT! REBOOT!

IMPORTANT: You must have at least one app downloaded from the App Store. Otherwise the apps downloaded with Installous won’t work.

Today I bumped into Hackulo.us a set of applications that allow you to share and copy apps between iPhones . This information is for educational purposes only, follow these instructions at your own risk! This only applies to jailbreak iphones and ipod touch.

How does it work ?

You have three components:

• Crackulous
  Crackulous is the app to crack your iPhone applications so you can share them with others.
• Installous
  Installous is the program to install cracked iPhone apps on your iPhone
• Appulous
  Is a repository of cracked iPhone apps available trough Safari.

Putting all together

First of all be sure you have both iPhones with OpenSSH (install from Cydia and reboot)

1. Using SSH, navigate to “/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/MobileInstallation.framework/”
2. Rename the file “MobileInstallation” to “MobileInstallation.bak”
3. Download this patched file – HERE
4. Place the patched file into the folder from step 1 with permissions 775
5. Create a symbolic link ( ln -s /var/mobile/Media/Downloads /private/var/mobile/Library/Downloads )
6. Open Cydia and add the repository: http://cydia.hackulo.us (under manage sources)
7. Install Crackulous and Installous from Cydia
   
8. Reboot your iPhone – IMPORTANT!

From now on you can crack your apps by running Crackulous, they will be placed under ( /var/mobile/Media/DecryptedIPAs )  then you can copy the .ipa file with SCP to another iPhone.

# cd /var/mobile/Media/DecryptedIPAs
# scp xxxxxxx.ipa mobile@192.168.1.10:/var/mobile/Media/Downloads

On the destination iPhone run Installous and click the Downloads section, click the app and choose Install, voilá.
You can also download and install iPhone apps by using Safari and opening up http://appulo.us/appdb/  (it may be offline!)

Notes:

• Crackulous crashes if you have apps started with # or numbers (bug).
• You need at least one app to run Crackulous.
• If  Crackulous doesnt run its probably because of an app.
